Android 5.0 Lollipop is rolling out for several handsets at the moment, but there’s no word from Samsung about an exact availability date for a number of its high-end handsets. The Google Play Edition Samsung Galaxy S4 has received the sweet Android 5.0 Lollipop update, as well as the Samsung Galaxy S5 in a few regions. Recently, a page on the company’s Finnish website revealed some information about the devices which are
expected to get the Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Surprisingly, it includes a number of smartphones, and tablets, which will get the update soon. Included in the list is the fairly old Samsung Galaxy S4, as well as the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini. To add more to the surprises, it seems the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, which is more than two years old is also expected to get the Lollipop update. However, the page doesn’t mention any expected roll out dates, but it’s good to see that Samsung plans to update some of its old devices. Other devices in the list are Samsung Galaxy Alpha, Note 3, Note 4, and Galaxy S5, Most of the tablets are also listed, but there’s no mention if any of these will get the update. Rough translation mentions “No Information” about the next update so we’d have to wait for the Korean company to make things official for tablet owners.
