This news should bring hope to those who were criticizing HTC for using the same design employed for the HTC One (M8) for its new flagship model. According to those who know the real look of the HTC One (M9), it will feature an edge-to-edge screen with BoomSound slits (as opposed to the grills) on the top and bottom edges of the handset. The front-facing camera looks like the one used on the HTC Desire 826, which means the One (M9) has a large circular lens above the screen.
The report adds that HTC had used a decoy before introducing the HTC One (M7). However, a rendering of the phone was discovered in a early version of the phone's firmware, on a SIM card installation tutorial. The image of the handset was leaked out more than a month before the unit was officially revealed by HTC.
We should see the HTC One (M9) in the flesh when MWC opens in Barcelona on March 1st.
New report says that the front camera on the HTC One (M9) will resemble the front-facing snapper on the pictured HTC Desire 826
